Review: A friend of mine picked up this Washington Exclusive Release from a local Costco and it was my first offering from Woodinville Whiskey Company out of the Seattle, WA area. I had heard of Woodinville and new they had quite a few offerings on the market. They use grains from a single farm in Eastern Washington and distill and barrel the new make in Woodinville Washington before sending them back to Eastern Washington to age. This particular bourbon is then rebarreled in used bourbon casks and aged additional time. This seems to add a softer oak note and packs a lot of flavor for its 86 proof point. Although a limited release I will always keep my eyes open for when these Double Barreled offerings hit the shelves.

My Rating: Stock it if you can find it!

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
