Review: If you’re hoping to save a few bucks on an Angel’s Envy Rum Finished Rye, this is not that. Although sweet and very easy to drink it is presents as a rye with a little added sweetness compared to the sweet bomb that is the Angel’s Envy. That being said it is a very good pour and has enough proof to stand up to a cocktail. Made from a handful of different Rye mash bills from the barely legal rye recipe to the ubiquitous 95% rye mash bill that are aged up to 6 years before being Solera aged (in the rum fashion) for an undisclosed period of time. The result is sweet and easy to drink.
My Rating: Sip it. If it was a little less expensive it may rate higher but a great poor!
May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.
Cheers!
