Review:
Tullamore D.E.W. is a triple distilled Irish Whiskey made from a blend of golden grain, pot still and malt. A lot of people find their way to whiskey via Irish whiskies like Jameson and Bushmills. I was not one of those people. I always found a weird metallic vanilla and ethanol note of the budget Irish Whiskies. Then I picked up a bottle of Tullamore D.E.W. Approachable at 80 proof, it has classic Irish Whiskey flavors at a budget friendly price. Add to the fact that it is considered the traditional whiskey to use in an Irish Coffee and you have all the reason you should need to keep a bottle on hand.
My Rating: Stock it.
My favorite of the “budget” Irish whiskies. Smooth and easy to approach.
May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.
Cheers!
