Review:
Oregon Spirits Bourbon is a Straight American Bourbon. I picked up a bottle of the Oregon Spirit Distillers Straight American Bourbon Whiskey for my trip to Paulina Lake Hot Springs just outside of Bend, OR. This 4 grain bourbon is distilled from corn, rye, wheat and malted barley in Bend Oregon, the distillate is barreled in new White American Oak and aged 4 years in Bend.
Oregon Spirit Distillers gets as much grain from local farms as possible but does have to source some regionally. They take pride in picking the best grains possible and using the local cascade water in their whiskey production.
My Rating: Sip
This is a delicious whiskey and by far my favorite 4 grain Bourbon to date. That being said at the $50 price point it’s a little steep for me to say stock it. If you can get your hands on a bottle it is definitely worth a try.
May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.
Cheers!

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.
-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.
-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
