Review: At 137.3 parts per million of peat, this is a very smokey whisky. That being said this whisky really surprised me with how sweat and approachable the whiskey is. The price can be a bit off-putting to some but the flavor is full if you enjoy peated Scotches. For only being 5 years old and 118 proof the whiskey is surprisingly fruity and complex. Notes of chocolate and fresh apple and pear can be found under a heavy layer of smoke. This whiskey is not for everyone but worth trying if you enjoy a peated scotch. Cheers!

My Rating: Stock it if you’re into smoke.

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
