Review: Maker’s Mark has always perplexed me as most of the reviews I hear talk about it being a cherry bomb and I have yet to get any cherry notes. That being said it is still a sweet and approachable bourbon. Their cask strength offering dials up the flavors without making it harsh or hard to drink. The 108 proof offers great flavors without too much of a Kentucky Hug. Add in a decent price point and you have a whiskey worth keeping in your bar. Cheers!

My Rating: Stock it. Easier to find than Weller Antique 107 but with a great wheated flavor.

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
