Nose: Peat smoke, over-ripe plums, damp forest,

Taste: smoke, cereal, stone fruit,

My Rating:  Stock it. Bad news on this front. I have only seen this Cask Strength 3 year old version in a handful of liquor stores in the Portland, OR area as well as a Total Wine in Vancouver, WA. If you find it, I recommend picking up a bottle ASAP.

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
