Review:

Gambler 500 Whiskey has come a long way since it launched in June of 2019. The initial batch seemed young and harsh despite its age statement and proof. Since then, an unknown number of batches have been released and the age statement has gone from 3 years to 5. The mash bill may have changed as well but the quality has definitely increased.

Although there are definitely better whiskies for the roughly $30 price, none of those whiskies donate 10% to the Son’s of Smokey who clean up public lands. For that reason, there will always be a bottle of Gambler 500 whiskey on my bar. Cheers!

My Rating: Stock it. Maybe only because the Gambler 500 is awesome but should you need any other reason?

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
