Review: Many of you may know that I am a big fan of rum. Captain Morgan is where I cut my teeth and got into the world of spirits. Because of this I have always had a soft spot for a well-done spiced rum. I picked up this bottle of 4 Spirits Spiced Rum while traveling for work. I was staying roughly 30 minutes from the distillery and wandered into a liquor store looking for something “local”. I have tried many of their whiskey options and really liked their flavor profiles so I figured I would grab a bottle of rum knowing it may end up being added to coke if I didn’t care much for it. Thankfully it quickly became the best “spiced” rum I’ve had. For me the banana is upfront and constant, even when added to a Coke or better yet, Dr. Pepper. The sweetness is balanced but on its way to being too sweet so approach with caution. I am hopeful that I will forever be able to pick up bottles of 4 Spirits Spiced Rum as it is delicious and goes down easy. Doesn’t hurt that its only $32 and locally made. Cheers!

My Rating: If you like banana and sweet rum it is a must! Stock IT!

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
