Review:

Coming out of the Columbia River Gorge in Washington this is a very interesting Bourbon. The undistilled mash bill is either smoked or components of it are smoked. I was unable to find what is used to smoke the grains nor what is involved in their 24 hour rapid aging process. The whiskey has remarkable color for the very short amount of time it spends aging. I would love to see what this whiskey would turn into after a few years in the barrel. The rapid aging process does not give enough time to transition the new make flavors and nose and the smoke flavor is not enough to cover the new make flavors. Worth trying if you ever come across it.

My Rating: Sip it. Worth a try but doesn’t have to have a permanent home on your bar.

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
