Review: As a self proclaimed Jefferson’s Fanboy, I was very excited when I came across the Chef’s Collaboration which is “A marriage of bourbon and rye” blended by Chef Edward Lee and Jefferson’s Trey Zoeller. The resulting liquid is bourbon sweet up front with the rye spice coming in mid palate and finish. At 90 proof it is easy drinking and more complex and interesting than most “high rye” bourbons on my shelf. They are limited editions so it may not be the easiest to find but may be worth looking for around the $45 price point. Cheers!

My Rating: Stock it! It is an approachable and affordable BouRye

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
