Review:  As a self-confessed rye fan I was really looking forward to finally getting my hands on a bottle of the Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel Barrel Proof Rye. Impressed by the 70% rye and still large amounts of sweetness while still being a very obvious rye. The nose is a bit more complex for me with the palate being boldly rye spice and oak. If you are a fan of high proof ryes this may be worth having on the bar. Cheers!

My Rating: Stock it!

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
