Chattanooga Cask Strength

My Price: $50.00

Country/Area: Tennessee, USA

Distillery: Chattanooga Whiskey

Proof/ABV: 111 Proof/ 55.5 ABV

Mash Bill: 75% Corn, 25% Malted Barley (3 different barley types)

Barrel: New American Oak

Age: At least 2 years

Nose: Raisin, Caramel, Baking Spice

Taste: Stone Fruit, Cereal Grain, Honeyed Butterscotch

Review: A unique 4 grain whiskey in the bourbon world as it contains only 2 types of grain, corn and barley. It is their 3 unique barley varietals that set them apart. This cask strength offering at 111 proof offers up spice close to a traditional bourbon with a higher rye content but offers much more fruit on the palette. An easy drinker and unique to the category it is worth having a bottle in your bar. Cheers!

My Rating: Stock it if you can find it in your area.

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
