Bulleit Rye

My Price: $26.95

Country/Area: Indiana, USA

Distillery:  MGP

Proof/ABV:

Mash Bill: 95% Rye, 5% Malted Barley

Barrel: New American Oak

Age: 4-7 years

Nose: Anise, Black Tea, Burnt Caramel

Taste: Spice, Oak, Sweet Cream

Review: Bulleit Rye despite being 95% rye does not seem as “spiced” as a lot of other ryes tend to be. Because of this I feel like it is a great intro Rye and makes for a fantastic cocktail. Add to that it’s decent proof point and price and you have a bottle that has a constant home on my shelf.

My Rating: Stock it!

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
