Review:

Barrell Seagrass had been on my radar for quite some time but I was hesitant to pull the trigger on the hundred-dollar bottle. After seeing two TikTokers recommend it due to its sweat and unique flavor I decided I would finally pick up a bottle.

I was very pleasantly surprised at just how much stone fruit comes through while still having the classic Rye spice. It is not as sweet as the Angel’s Envy Rum Finished Rye but has a bit more complex flavor likely due to the different finishing barrels used. I look forward to trying this on ice and with a little bit of water to see how it opens up. Cheers.

My Rating: Sip it. The price is the only thing keeping me from giving it a Stock it rating. This is a fantastic whiskey.

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
