Review:

I fell in love with Angel’s Envy fruit forward bourbon years and years ago as I was beginning my whiskey journey. Since then, I have tried their rum finished rye as well as their cask strength offerings. I enjoyed the cask strength but did not enjoy its price tag and very limited availability. Thankfully while visiting a friend in Florida, I came across a single barrel offering picked by ABC Fine Wine and Spirits. Bottled at 107.6 proof and costing about half as much as the first Cask Strength offering I purchased, this seems like a great value if you are a fan of the Port finish. The nose does have a bit of ethanol on it but the sweet caramel and fruit notes are more present compared to the standard Angel’s Envy. Because of that I recommend you pick up a bottle if you are a fan of Angel’s Envy. Cheers!

My Rating: Stock it if you are a fan of the traditional Angel’s Envy!

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
