Review: I picked up this fabulous fanny pack at PCT Days in 2021. The colors really caught my eye and I was wanting to pick up something larger than my tried and true LiteAF fanny pack. The 2.5L fanny pack from Chicken Tramper was big enough to hold my GoPro with a small tripod or packed enough snacks and drink packets for the whole day. I have difficulty using hip belt pouches so this was the perfect solution to my storage needs.

In the winter time I keep my battery banks and water filters in the fanny pack under my jacket to ensure they do not freeze or loose their charge. The inner pockets are nice for keeping things like wallets and Chapstick at the ready. I also like that I can keep my important items on me around camp so I don’t have to worry about losing them or making trips back and forth to my tent when I need them.

From day hikes to week long trips chances are good if you happen to see me on trail I will be rocking this fantastic fanny pack from Chicken Tramper Ultralight Gear!

My Rating: Buy it. There are so many benefits to a fanny pack over hip belt pockets on trail.
