Taste: Southwest vibes were kicked up with a little salt and hot sauce powder.

Texture: Beans did not fully rehydrate but the biscuits and meat had a nice texture.

Notes: I have been a fan of the Chad Mendes Signature meals from Peak Refuel for quite some time. The Venison Country Casserole being one of my favorite backpacking meals ever. I was a little hesitant to try the Backcountry Bison Bowl as beans and biscuits did not seem to go together in my mind but I was pleasantly surprised with the Southwest vibes I got from the meal especially after a little additional salt and hot sauce powder. That being said there are plenty of other meals I would rather have. Cheers!
