Taste: The blueberries are always sweet and the granola reminds me of honey and vanilla.

Texture: Great crunch initially and will soften up if desired by letting it sit briefly.

Overall Score: Buy it if you want an easy cold breakfast option on trail.

Notes: For some reason I love a pop-tart or protein bar as a snack but they just don’t work for me as a breakfast option. I’ll blame to many hot backpacking breakfasts for making me crave an actual meal before heading out on trail. In the colder months my go to was the Mountain House Southwest Hash (when it was still made) and in the warmer months this Mountain House Granola with Milk and Blueberries has become my go to meal. It rehydrates almost instantly and reminds me of a breakfast I would make at home. Paired with a cup of coffee and I have everything I need to continue down the trail.

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey. Cheers!
