Notes:

GastroGnome commented on one of my Instagram posts that I needed to try out some of their meals. After checking out their website I placed an order. The first meal I tried was their Chicken Pozole which I really liked. When they released this Bison Chorizo Hash in March of 2022 I placed an order immediately.

I packed the Hash along with some bacon and eggs from Mountain House, hot sauce from Secret Aardvark and a handful of tortillas. On its own the flavor was rich and well spiced although not spicy. There were large chunks of meat in the meal that rehydrated nicely but the rest of the vegetables and eggs seemed to finely cut up to stand out as individual ingredients. Once mixed together with the dehydrated eggs and hot sauce on a tortilla it made for a very tasty trail breakfast burrito. I will definitely be ordering more of these as they don’t take much water and rehydrate quickly. The flavor is good although I feel like it could use more spice but I know I handle spice a bit better than most. If you’re looking for a tasty meal that will fill you up without weighing you down this is what you’re after.

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey. Cheers!

Does it taste better atop a waterfall? Probably.
