Review:

Chicken Cock Bourbon has a history in the United States dating back over 160 years. In the 21st century the brand was revived after lying dormant for decades. The resulting whiskey was an homage to the bourbon that was made many years previous. The whiskey has rich flavors and smells a lot older than it is. That being said its 100 proof comes through on both the nose and palate. The whiskey as tobacco and grain notes and may not be for those who prefer a sweeter bourbon, such as myself. Because of this it scores low on my scale as it is pricey and not my preferred flavor palate. Cheers!

My Rating: Shoot it!

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
