Review:

Big Nose Kate is an interesting blend of a spice forward rye and a malt forward single malt. The proof allows for a nice amount of balanced flavor and little burn. The barley helps mellow out the spice and the rye brings some drama. If you are into off the beaten path whiskies, this may be the bottle for you.

My Rating: Sip it!

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!

Rating scale:

-Spit: Don’t bother with this one. If a friend gives you a dram of it, are they even your friend?

-Shoot: Good enough to get you drunk.

-Sip: Tasty enough to enjoy neat or on the rocks.

-Stock: I’d recommend keeping a bottle on hand.
