Review: I learned long ago that I need an air pad to sleep comfortably in the back country. And I don’t mean any air pad, I’m a side sleeper so I need as thick an airpad as I can handle the weight of to carry with me. So it may seem strange that I would pick up a foam pad that is only one eight of an inch thick to take backpacking. The main reason for the purchase was the envy I had on a few of my longer hikes where I would see other backpackers enjoying a nice nap on their fold up foam pads in the middle of the day. Add in the fact that I always have a foam sit pad with me (which weigh only 1oz less) and it seemed like a no brainer to bring this additional pad which could be used for sitting, lounging or as additional protection underneath my air pad.

Sure I did try to sleep on just the foam pad for one warmer night along the John Day River in Oregon and that went*********************************************************************************************************************************

My Rating: Buy if you have the room to carry it is very versatile and can add a little warmth to your inflatable sleeping pad.

Rating scale:

-Bypass: This isn’t worth the money.

-Borrow: Handy but may or may not be worth your money.

-Buy: Get one. You’ll love it!

May the miles you hike be filled with wonder and the glasses you raise be filled with whiskey.

Cheers!
